Transportation
The Whitewater Unified School District contracts with Nelson’s Bus Service for transportation to and from the schools.
Parents/guardians of any students riding the bus should review bus rules and policies with their student prior to the student riding the bus for the first time for the upcoming school year. Bus rules and policies are available on the Whitewater Unified School District website or are available in printed form at all school building offices
Eligible Students
All students whose primary residence is greater than two miles from school or who live in an area that is designated in the district’s unusually hazardous transportation plan are eligible for transportation. Please call (262) 473-4955 for route eligibility information.
Electing for Private Pay
Parents/guardians of students who reside less than two miles from school may elect to register their student for private pay transportation. A private pay transportation agreement and instructions may be downloaded from https://wwusd.io/?page_id=339 or is available in printed form at Central Office.
All 4K and KG Students
Parents/guardians of 4k and/or kindergarten students must complete the 4k or kindergarten transportation form whether or not their child will ride the bus. 4K and kindergarten forms are available at https://wwusd.io/?page_id=339. Forms are also available at your school office or can be emailed to you by calling Nelson’s (262) 473-4955.
Alternative Pick-Up / Drop-Off
Parents/guardians of eligible students who will need transportation to an eligible location other than home will need to complete an alternative pick-up and drop-off form to request this transportation. These forms must be updated annually or transportation may be removed.
